Is COBOL like Oil?

(The uncertain future of CICS part 1)

The other day I was thinking about the future of CICS and what programming languages and technology we could be using in a few years time. Part of why I was musing about this was because of the age old problem of COBOL.

Web education continued.

The Master Terminal

The Master Terminal went Live on March 31, 2008. It is a blog for IBM CICS "insiders" from Hursley.

This unofficial blog is written by a hopefully expanding group of people in IBM Hursley and beyond who work on CICS. Expect to see posts on conferences, code samples, helpful hints and anything else that we can think of. If you have anything you would like us to talk about or any questions you are just dying to know the answer to please let us know in the comments and we will do our best to answer them.

This is a really exciting to see the people from Hursley reach out to the community in this way!

I hope that this will encourage more CICS people to come forward and start blogging. Here at the CICS Community Forums all you have to do to start blogging is register and post.

Welcome to you and thank you!
