Hi,

We have a requirement where the transaction has to be purged automatically if it exceeds certain time limit. (i.e., to set time limit for each and every transaction to make sure that none of those transaction exceeds the time limit that is specified if it is exceeding the time limit it should get purged automatically) is there any way to achieve this. Please guide me on this.

Regards,

Hello there,

You can set the timelimit using the Omegamon tool (if you have any) and use the option Time Limit to set in it.

Vizcics,

Is that CPU-Time, Dispatch time, or wall clock time?

You can limit the CPU time(or TASK time) by specifying the "ICVR=" parameter in the SIT. If your TRANSACTION's are defined with a RUNAWAY=SYSTEM, it will adhere to the ICVR and abend the transaction with an "AICA".

You can also code the individual transactions with a RUNAWAY value. This is all CPU time values.

Then... as sairamyogeta said, you can use basically any CICS monitoring tool (Omegamon, TMON, Mainview etc.) to do this for you with more flexibility.
